CCR Question 1

Today in class I worked on the script even more and when I got home I got to work filming the parts for the project.

I have almost finished all I need for question one and I am working on the script for question two. This has taken me around 3 and a half hours so far including the time I had in school, and the time I had at home editing. This post may seem short and that's because it is. The picture shows how much I have done and that's all that needs to be shown. My next posts will be documenting the continued process of making both creations for the CCR.

Working On CCR

So far I am working out the script for my CCR while figuring out what type of project I want to do. I could do an interview, a podcast, a presentation with visuals, or I can be really creative and think of another idea. So far I am leaning towards a presentation where I talk recording myself, and then voice-over clips of the content I am talking about. The picture shows how far I have gotten with answering the four questions. As you can see, I have a long way to go.

Another Group Meeting

Today in class we were in groups and we discussed where we were in our projects and how it is going. Most of us are done with the film opening and are working on the CCR. I enjoyed hearing that I wasn't the only one having issues during the filming process and I am proud to say that the shots turned out really well. Mainly during the group meeting, I was reassured that although the CCR is a big deal, it shouldn't be a stressful project because most things I need to touch on are already stated in my blog, or shown in my film opening.

After the meeting, I started a google doc for my CCR while collaborating with my partner about what we might want to do for the two creations. I am excited to show the vast amount of knowledge I have gained from this class.

Finishing Recording The Project

We finally finished recording and I cannot be happier. We had some ups and downs with this project but overall, I am excited to see how it turns out. These are pictures we took during the filming on Friday.

These pictures are of Randy driving to work and Randy closing the door from inside his house at night.

Friday was a busy day because we filmed twice that day. We met up around 2 in the afternoon, finished around 5, then met back up around 8:30 to film the rest. The shots during the day were of Randy getting his sunglasses and jacket from the table, saying bye to his dog Charlie, pulling out of the driveway,  driving to work, and finally pulling into the parking lot and walking towards the building he works at. The shots during the night were of Randy driving home from work, pulling into his driveway, going inside his house, and seeing that there is a different dog (Kyle's other dog named Max) instead of Charlie. Friday was a really busy day and it was really fun! We plan to have the project edited by the end of next week.

Improved Character: Randy Greggorson

We filmed the rest of our project but had to get creative in how we showed the rich character. Our actor who was going to play the rich guy was not available so I played the rich guy instead. We had to find a way to do this without affecting the story that we wanted to portray so we used shots that obscure my face (for the most part).

Meet Randy Greggorson. This is me wearing the outfit in front of my dad's convertible that we used for the film. Martin's blog will look a lot different than mine for this post since he didn't have to wear a suit in 90-degree weather while IN A CONVERTIBLE. I was sweating so much however, the shots we took looked amazing. It may not have been exactly what we originally planned, but in my humble opinion, the way it turned out is much, much better.

Not only did we film the rest of our project, but we also filmed some of Kyle's project as I starred as the main character in his. I wore the same outfit for Kyle's film and we filmed it before ours. This took about an hour and made it worth Kyle's time for helping us. We are grateful to Kyle since he helped film our project, let us use his house, and even let us use his dog.
